Formmail: important notes
Scionhost actively checks all formmail scripts on our servers to ensure they are secure. When our automated script finds a formmail script which is vulnerable it will chmod 000 the script. Because of this, you need to ensure that you are using both the latest version of your formmail script, and a secure version.
We recommend using a formmail script created by The nms Project, specifically you should be using the latest version available from here.
Another version that is considered secure is formmail.php.
There are also a number of scripts you should, under no circumstances, be using; which include but are not limited to:
- Matt's formmail (not updated since 2000)
- Monkeys.com formmail (not updated since 2002)
